The project "Collection of Bulgarian Contemporary Art - Pompidou Center, Paris" is being renewed.

"The good news is that we are expecting a visit from the new director of the center. The project was interrupted by the pandemic in its final part, when we were supposed to review the final selection of works and present it to the Acquisitions Committee at the center."

This was said in an interview with the Bulgarian National Radio by Desislava Dimova, art historian and curator, founder of the Bulgarian Art and Culture Foundation.

She adds that in 2018, Bernard Blisten, director of the Pompidou Center, visited Bulgaria with his team to get acquainted with the contemporary art scene. This is a long process and includes collecting works of Bulgarian contemporary art from the second half of the 20th century, which will be included in the center's holdings in Paris.
